Sea Lions and Fur Seals are quite amazingly dog-like in their behaviour and mannerisms. If you are a dog owner, you will recognise a great deal, this will often extend to their playfulness.

Unfortunately for them however, this playfulness is not always a great asset in a world of increasing pollution, many sea lions and fur seals suffer in some way from encounters from fishing apparatus, hooks, nets and plastic bands used around boxes. It is particularly important in an environment such as the Galapagos to not litter and to remove any debris that may be found before vulnerable wildlife are harmed by it.
